Formed in 1985, incorporated in 2003, Freitas + Freitas, Engineering and Planning Consultants, Inc. offers engineering and planning services to the Central California coastal area. Freitas + Freitas is a family owned corporate business. The owners of the business are Michael J. Freitas, Civil Engineer and Melanie Shaffer Freitas, Urban Planner.
Since its founding, Freitas + Freitas has purposely decided to be a small firm with the owners/principals providing hands-on services for their clients. Unlike many of the large engineering and planning consulting firms in practice today, clients of Freitas + Freitas benefit from the individual expertise and attention of the owners/principals, Michael and Melanie Shaffer Freitas.
The firm has worked for a large number of California cities, counties and special districts as well as individuals and businesses.
